After Kspers first minute howler and a nervy first ten minutes we settled down well and played some good football. Kind of sums this team up. We can do the business when it doesnt matter but seem to lack the character to do it when the chips are down. Had we played like tis at Sheff Utd, Derby and Palace we would be well into the play offs.

I didn't think they ever tried to get out of second gear.

Agreed. We have the ability but suffer from total inconsistency. At our best we can stand toe to toe with the best, having played Arsenal to a stalemate at the Emirates. But we can't go 4-1 up at home to teams like Preston, lose 6-4 and expect to get promoted.
