Jansson Header Clinches The Points For Leeds

Leeds United
1 - 0
Norwich City

Elland Road

16/12/17 3pm

Attendance: 30,590

Pontus Jansson ensured Leeds United maintained their good run of form since their return from the international break as he scored the only goal in a 1-0 win against Norwich City.

Jansson, who failed to score at Elland Road last season, made it two goals in two home games as he rose to steer a Pawel Cibicki cross home just before the break.

Leeds twice hit the woodwork during the game with Kalvin Phillips seeing his effort come back off a post and Cibicki saw his follow up effort blocked by the Norwich defence.

Samu Saiz missed a great chance to wrap up the game for Leeds in the final ten minutes when he saw his effort come back off the inside of the post after a mistake in the Norwich defence put him through on goal.

Alex Pritchard had the best chance to rescue a point for the visitors but he saw his effort skim the top of the crossbar.
