A Swampy Mess

13th January

Attendance: 0

Birmingham City V Leeds

Well unfortunately today our game was cancelled against Birmingham City. The pitch wasn't prepared in time due to the awful weather which must have just effected St.Andrews, rather random that as it seems that everyone else in the Midlands didn't experience the same level of 'extreme' weather. Perhaps it's just the constant level of misery that hangs over Birmingham City as they glance over the city towards their neighbours. A solitary grey cloud over the ground. Maybe it's the fact their diaries have their local rivals honours in them. Maybe they are just miserable? Who knows! The club said 'the safety and condition of the newly laid turf' was considered unacceptable.

Silly Brummies...relaying a pitch mid-season. Perhaps they should invest in astroturf? Whatever happened to the idea of re-introducing the bouncy nonsense to the Football League?

Star Player

Mother Nature: So good she completley stopped us from doing anything all game.

Manager Rating

More of a club rating this one. They issued a very prompt and what I think heartfelt response to the cancellation of the game.

'The group of people who have our greatest sympathy in this situation are our supporters who have both purchased tickets and made travel arrangements that may not be transferable.

'The club will make representations to Birmingham City to ensure a full refund can be obtained on any tickets purchased and will also speak to Birmingham City on behalf of our fans in relation to travelling costs incurred that may now be lost.'

Opponent Rating

0: Lets face it they didn't even give us a football pitch to play on!?
