Doncaster Rovers 0 - Leeds United 3

14/12/13 3pm

Attendance: Phil Dowd

Three-sy for Leeds

Leeds United climbed back into the play-off places with a 3-0 win at Doncaster Rovers.

Goals from Matt Smith, Ross McCormack and Rodolph Austin were enough to see Leeds win the Yorkshire derby.

Smith gave Leeds the lead on 19 minutes when he headed home a Alex Mowatt free-kick from close-range.

Leeds controlled much of the first half but Paddy Kenny pulled off a smart save to deny Richie Wellens an equaliser.

Rovers were on top for much of the second half and looked aggrieved when Theo Robinson saw his effort ruled out for a very late flag from the assistant.

It was to prove crucial as McCormack waltzed through the Rovers defence before scoring from a tight angle to double the lead for Leeds and he turned provider in the closing minutes when Rodolph Austin fired home his cross.
