Leeds return to winning ways

Leeds United got back to winning ways after their defeat at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday with a 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic at Elland Road.

Ross McCormack continued his rich vein of form with one goal and he is also claiming the other with defender Jason Pearce also trying to claim the goal.

McCormack opened the scoring for Leeds on fifteen minutes when he turned in a header by Tom Lees and the second goal came inside the final fifteen minutes when McCormack`s free-kick went in either with or without a slight touch from Pearce.

The win for Leeds lifts them back into seventh place as they won at Elland Road for the fifth game in a row.
