Leeds Fans View v Bristol City

Tiny T gives us his usual fans view from the games at Elland Road involving Leeds United.

This time after the narrow 1-0 win over bottom of the table Bristol City.

Star Player

Tom Lees - He gave away nothing all afternoon, though he nearly had an own goal to his name in the second half, smart Kenny save stopped that.

Player Ratings

Kenny 5

Smart save in the first half and in the second, but he nearly cost us a goal early on. His distribution was slow and poor.

Byram 7

Much better in the second half and he got forward in support. He was our only outlet for width for most of the game.

Lees 7 Star man

He gave away nothing all afternoon, though he nearly had an own goal to his name in the second half, smart Kenny save stopped that.

Peltier 6

Much better from the captain than of late.

White 6

Occasional sloppy moments when defending, good job McCormack tracked back to help out at times

Barkley 6

Quality cross for the goal, glimpses of his talent and he worked hard.

Austin 5

Not the player from the start of the season, but he seems to be improving.

Brown 1

Come in Number 17, your time is up.

McCormack 7

Good header for the goal, lively and tried to move us forward

Diouf 4

Slows the game down when we need to attack at pace and his corners have no pace and they continually are cut out by the first defender.

Becchio 6

He didn't win much in the air today but gave his usual hard working performance; we need to hold on to him.

Green

Not on long enough

Tonge

Not on long enough

Manager Rating

Warnock 3
Tactics were non-existent, needs someone at his side who will tell him the truth rather than nodding heads.

Warnock is living in cloud cuckoo land if he thought Brown ran the game, he gave the ball away with every pass and ran like he was running through a paddy field, it`s time for him to be consigned to the scrap heap quickly.

Disjointed in midfield with no width down either flank, that is unless Byram got forward.

Barkley looks useful but needs to play through the middle possibly alongside Austin with Green on the right. We just need someone for the left hand side at both left back and midfield.

McCormack is wasted on the left and needs to play alongside Becchio who needs support around him with some pace.

For some, the argument will be for Diouf to start but the game slows down when he plays and he gets in the way of others; he took the ball several times off others when they were better placed.

The saving grace today was the defence, which was solid.

Warnock asked for crowd support after the game. His team needs to produce the goods to get the crowd back on his side and for more in attendance.

The positives from today. Three points and a clean sheet, though we were no different to them. If they had someone who could have finished, I dread to think what would have happened.

Strongbow brigade will be out in force next Sunday for the glamour tie, though if Spurs turn up with a decent side on today`s showing, we will get a tanking
