If one song could explain our situation it would be Europe's 'Final Countdown.' Leeds United find themselves just one win away from the magical 0 points mark.
With Leeds looking to pull themselves up to the point that everyone else in League One started from, assistant manager Gus Poyet has taken the lead on the pre-match quotes.
Speaking to the clubs official website leedsunited.com Gus said: 'I have had people calling me from Spain and Uruguay saying 'how long will it take you to get to zero,' he revealed. 'It may be five games, you don't know.
'Yes, you are confident, but when you have to do it, it's different. We've done well so far, we'll see what happens on Saturday.'
The opposition this weekend haven't shut up about the Leeds match ever since their 4-1 victory in the Johnstones Paint Trophy over Oldham.
Their strikers are gunning for Leeds, their supporters are complaining about ticket prices and Hartlepool manager Danny Wilson is hoping that his side will satisfy both on Saturday.
Speaking to the Hartlepool Mail Wilson said: "It is going to be tough for us, no doubt about it.
"There will be 30,000 partisan fans there and that will be a new experience for a lot of our players.
'It will be a great learning curve for them and this will be a useful yardstick to where we are.
'We are not going there to hang on or to settle for a point, we are going to try to win the game.'
So fighting talk from a manager who has been able to relegate 3 different clubs!
Leeds are struggling with midfielders this week as Alan Thompson looks unlikely to play and part in the fixture. However the decision as to whether he will feature will be left as late as possible!
Jonathan Douglas and Alan Martin are both on international duty, whilst Tore-Andre Flo, Leon Constantine, Curtis Weston and Shaun Derry make up the remainder of the injury list.
Ex-Newcastle United defender Paul Huntington will go straight into the squad, and may make his debut on Saturday. Due to his contractual issues Phillipe Da Costa will sit this one out.
Our new strike partnership is flourishing with each game; therefore they get joint honours this week.
According to Vital Hartlepool, they have no new injury issues and Willie Boland/Antony Sweeney the only longer-term absentees.
Two goals in that 'famous' victory against Oldham Athletic (who are they) will see a need to watch this one a bit more carefully!
The official for Leeds United Vs Hartlepool United is none other than Mr P Miller from Bedfordshire who has managed 12 yellows and 1 red card in his 4 games this season. From his stats, it appears that Mr Miller has been slowly working his way up from conference football to the football leagues so; let`s hope he's a goodun!
2-1 didn't work for me last time unfortunately, so I think I'll go for a very hard fought 3-2 Leeds United victory. Kandol with two and Beckford with one!
After we dispatch Hartlepool, Leeds will learn the joys of Friday night League One football against Bristol Rovers in a week`s time.
