Derby V Leeds

All common sense has gone from my mind in this, the final match preview of this season.

Leeds United supreme Ken Bates has talked about his plans to plot the return of the glory days to Elland Road:


"The important thing now is not to view this as the end, but the beginning of a new era.


'It is my intention to contact all the clubs members to tell them of our plans going forward and season tickets will soon be available. The club is staying at Elland Road."


Head Ram Billy Davies wants his players to use the match against the already relegated side to prove themselves worthy of a starting place for the playoff semi-final first leg, whoever they may face:


'The message to the players will be to stake your claim for a place in the team going into the play-offs,' Davies told RamsWorld.
'We will be changing the team and giving one or two guys a game, and resting one or two players.


'We will certainly be much better prepared going into the play-off matches because of the guys we have got coming back."


Vital Leeds site editor LUFC1 says: "Well ewe can`t pull the wool over my eyes. We`re in a whole load of trouble, administration and relegation was never going to be too great an idea. Just like Derby if they get promoted, we`ll be baaaaaaaack in the Championship the season after next.'

The head ram looks set to give a few youngsters a bit of a whirl in this game with Derby already securing a playoff place. Leeds may do the same given the fact that we are buggered no matter what happens.

Steven Bywater seems set to return between the sticks for Derby. Giles Barnes, coming to a Premiership side near you (or in the case of the likes of Theo Walcott…a Premiership bench near you) continues to sit it out courtesy of a knee injury.

Did you know that even despite the fact he may not play, his own wife has sanctioned the sale of the player from Birmingham City….twice!

With Leeds` relegation as obvious as a sheep joke when mentioning Derby County fans or people from Wales, Dennis Wise has "hinted" that he may throw a few youngsters into the fray to see what we have for next season. With a lot of the old guard leaving the club (or running away *cough* Thompson/Flo *cough*) it`s time to see what the Leeds United academy and reserves can do.

How Dennis Wise picks this time I don`t know. It could be anything from a few youngsters to a team of youngsters. I`ll tell you Sunday!

Cool my useless facts…aren`t they! I reckon uwe will miss them!

The referee for Sundays game is Mr. P.T.Crossley, who last refereed Leeds in a 3-2 defeat to Barnsley. In terms of a number of his counterparts, he must be feeling somewhat sheepish that this season, he`s only sent off 5 players in 25 games! A shocking statistic for someone employed by the Football League.

In a sickening pee-pee-take considering we`re already relegated, we`re going to do exactly enough to safeguard promotion in a 12-0 win with Gus Poyet scoring the winner having re-registered as a player for a giggle.
(It`s Friday night, we`re relegated, in administration and worst thing is Ken Bates has re-purchased the club he already had, I`ve had enough lol!)
