Birmingham City V Leeds

Leeds United finally get to play their game against Birmingham City tonight, with the club desperately seeking 3 points that would maybe make things seem a little bit brighter.

Birmingham on the other hand, after some disappointing results of late, have dropped down to the lowly position of 3rd, a win tonight will see them return to the top of the table.

Vital Quotes:

Gus Poyet is the one giving the war cries this week "We have to keep believing and we have to make sure the players believe" he said.

Bizarrely Gus then went onto say "They are believing…"

Well are they or aren`t they? If they are then why do you need to make sure ?

Blues` boss Steve 'Potato Head` Bruce is positive about promotion, and has found a place, where they can boogie…boogie tonight:

"Yes, we haven`t played as well as what we would of liked, but it`s how you respond, and things are still in our own hands.

A good performance and a win, then we go top of the league and we are all singing and dancing again"

If you lose tonight Steve, remember to blame it on the boogie!

Birmingham City Team News:

Stephen Kelly looks set to come in for Radhi Jaidi who is currently suspended. Damian Johnson has decided to remain injured for this one.

BBC are reporting once good striker Mikael Forssell will be ready to pick up his next injury soon having played a reserve team game on Monday night, so is unlikely to feature against us.

Player to watch: Gary McSheffery

Moving away from the City of Coventry was always going to be a good move for the lad, although going to Birmingham, hmm? Anyway, the guy has scored 16 goals in 34 appearances and is always dangerous. Quick and skilful, our defence has got it`s hands full tonight.

Leeds United Team News:

I`m not sure we have any players left! There`s a possibility that Wolves loanee Jemal Johnson may start. Tresor Kandol has a 1 game ban (yay!) and of course Flo is still out with his busted foot. The usual suspects, Derry, Elliot, Crainey and Kelly are still missing, whilst Alan Thompson and Armando Sa finish off the injury table news.

If anyone would like to tell me who this leaves, would be appreciated! Heres hoping Robbie Blake can impress for us again.

Once again it is to be noted that the club aren't currently asking supporters to take their boots and registration papers, just yet!

Player to watch: Jemal Johnson

If he plays, Jemal Johnson. We`ve signed him on loan, he hasn`t scored very many goals, Wolves don`t want him and he`s not here for very long. What kind of player is he!?

Useless Facts:

  • The City of Birmingham is rumoured to have more canals than Venice. So if your planning a romantic break to Italy well DON`T. Birmingham is where it`s at!

  • "From beginnings of extreme poverty, shrugging aside numerous setbacks along the way, David Gold is now one of Britain`s most successful businessmen. This is the starting line of Birmingham City FC co-owner David Gold's official website. Go on..have a look!

  • One of Mr gold`s other business interests is Ann Summers. If your taking the missus for your romantic break in Birmingham (rather than Venice), there are 3 of the Ann Summers stores in the city!

  • Birmingham City have recently been hosting fancy dress fan games, where numerous supporters have been turning up to games dressed as empty seats.

    Ref Watch:

Oooo we have a biggy for tonight`s game. Rob Styles takes charge of this one.

    Match Prediction:

Not sure with this one. I never predict losses so I will say 0-0 and another 90 minutes without scoring
