Leeds Must Win Game #1

Happy New Year Leeds fans. I would certainly hope for everyones sake that the team will give us some early cheer. Coventry are a mid-table side and have a manager under alot of pressure to perform.

Vital Quotes:

Coventry Fans: 'What a load of rubbish' was chanted at the 1-1 draw with Southend. What polite fans they have.

Leeds Fans: 'Ouch my head!'

Wisey is still not feeling the same awkwardness displayed by many of the supporters: 'There are 21 games to go and eight wins or seven wins can get you out of it.

'You've got to start worrying if there are 12 games to go and you're struggling.'

Leeds United Team News:

After his very early transfer from Sunderland, Robbie Elliot is set to make his debut today. Kevin Nicholls comes back in after his Christmas holiday..erm I mean ban.

Gary Kelly's back injury rules him out. It's also most likely the last game for Warner, Matt Heath is unable to play due to loan rules.

Player to watch: Robbie Elliot

Eyes on the newboy, can he save us, save us, PLEASE!

Coventry City Team News:

Coventry don't have many worries when it comes to injuries so the only team changes will be if Micky Adam's decides to fiddle.

After impressing against Southend, Dele Adebola may return to the starting line-up.

Player to watch: Stern John

Silly name, but Coventry's top goalscorer and someone that is always worth keeping an eye on.

Match Facts & Stats

Whilst both clubs are struggling, I'd very much prefer the position Coventry is in right now. It will take a while to climb out of the relegation zone but as Wisey says it only takes a few wins and BANG we`re outta there!

Ref Watch:

If someone would like to tell me how to find out what ref is doing what game in the Football League...please leave a comment!

Match Prediction:

2-1 Leeds and a great start to the new year.

Coming Up:

West Brom (A) 06/01 (FA CUP)

Birmingham City (A) 13/01

West Brom (H) 20/01
