Weidwald 8 Starman
Kept us in the game in the 1st 25 mins with a couple of crucial saves

Ayling 7
Solid performance

Jannson 8
Little got past him been back to his normal self the past month

Cooper 8
Like his partner quiet and effective performance

Berardi 8
Do we need another Left Back possibly but he'll have to rip it off Berardis back does anyone have the bottle

Phillips 5
Largely ineffective seemed to lack drive

Viera 7
Put his foot in all game much better than last week

Cibicki 7
Protected the fullbacks when required consistant all game

Hernandez 6
Stunning finish for the goal but lightweight around the pitchwhen the going was tough

Alioski 6
Worked hard but easily dispossessed went to ground too easily at times

Roofe 5
Nothing to work off all game chased and harried. Needs better quality ball to him

Subs
O'Kane 7
Gave us better control used his experience
Lassoga 5
One shot close to the end of the game but for me still looks overweight
Pennington
Brought on to wind the clock down

Most of the game we were 2nd best but came away thanks to an Hernandez super finish. A delightful chip from a mistake the Keepers poor clearance. The rest was defensive solidity with Jannson and Cooper immense in the middle and Viera breaking up play in front of them.
Hull should have been at least 2 if not 3 goals up before we scored but for Weidwald and some poor finishing and the post we stayed in the game. After 70 mins we seemed to just wind the time down taking time over all deadballs and throw-ins.
We picked up 3 points which was brilliant especially in a very dour game were we struggled to get going and have any cohesion at all.
Over too Daz for the Burton game and hopefully another 3 points
Merry Christmas to all Leeds fans enjoy yourselves and have a great New Year

Thanks for your reviews Tiny. Daz is not going to Burton so unless KB is going you'll have to do with me.
It's good we are winning when not looking particularly exciting/fluent going forward and having to rely on a bit of luck and solid defence. Also bearing in mind this is our run against lower table teams I just hope we can get results when we start our run against the teams around and above us.

Wiedwald finally looked like a goalie. I was right behind his save in the first minute and it had goal written all over it. He made another good save ten minutes later and more than that, he came out two or three times to clear with strong punches.

I have to disagree with Ayling and Cibicki. I thought we were very poor down the right and their number 7 had the freedom of Elland Road in the first half.

I also thought Alioski was better. Every time he got the ball he did get kicked up in the air. I know he is often guilty of going to ground far too easily but he got some rough treatment.

I thought we desperately missed the drive and creativity of Saiz and I hope he is back soon.

I also thought Hernandez was poor and his usual superb passing was also off line.

Thanks for doing these again in 2017 Tiny, always appreciated. Like Simon says I will not be going on Boxing Day so if anyone fancies it. KB, Simon (one half only) or anyone else.

Finally, I witnessed my first Championship home win in four years. I didn't mention it on the bus on the way up.

It is over 20 games since I saw an home league win.

Not anymore I hope. I did see us win in the EFL Cup earlier in the season.

I thought O'Kane made a huge difference when he came on. We looked much more solid in the second half having been over run in the first half.

Jansson and Cooper are a superb partnership. We lacked a creative spark in Saiz.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Lasogga given a start on Monday.

I am going so can do the fan view.
