NEWSFLASH: Wise To Depart Leeds

Leeds United have agreed compensation with Newcastle United for their manager Dennis Wise.

A statement from the club reads:

"We have agreed a compensation package with Newcastle United for the services of our manager Dennis Wise and he will part company with the club on Tuesday January 29 after completing the preparations for our game at Southend United that evening."

"Newcastle had approached us for permission to speak with Dennis on Friday and since then things have happened very quickly."

Clearly the ex-Millwall and Swindon boss didn't quite have enough of a fighting spirit as everyone thought he did.

Good riddance to bad rubbish?

What a strange move, can sum1 explain it to me ?

What a plum. I don't understand his motives at all. He'll never become Newcastle manager and he had the chance to build a good reputation after a good season at Leeds this year.

I can understand the poisoned dwarf leaving. Medium sized club who have played ***** football since they wore yellow and blue back in the fifties. With Ken Bates in the Chair as well, who would want to take over? The Scottish dwarf Billy Davies maybe.

Good ol Dirty Den - done it again .... gradually moving up the country, leaving a trail of chaos.... Uncle Ken has put on a brave face, perhaps the compensation has helped, perhaps now he'll buy some decent specs for himself.
APG_STFC
Read the spec this morning..Didn't think he would go, but what do i know!!!Pound signs more important than us..Thought he had the clubs best interests at heart..Just like all the other's..Just his own interests....This will come back to haunt him!

Would be nice to know the amount of compo we got. Wise looks after No 1, just a southern softy, can't see Keeny boy being happy though treat him like a son.
