Wise to quit Leeds?

The Yorkshire Evening Post is reporting that Dennis Wise's future as manager of Leeds is in serious doubt.

Recently there has been speculation linking Dennis Wise with a role at Newcastle as part of the new Kevin Keegan set-up, with this role being a newly formed director of football role at St James' Park.

The Yorkshire Evening Post is saying that sources on Tyneside believe that the Newcastle officials feel confident of getting Wise, subject to a compensation amount being agreed. Wise has apparently been made aware of their interest but is expected to be in charge of the match with Southend tomorrow regardless.

Many had seen this as mere paper talk with a recently run poll; unless this is paper talk again Wise could be leaving? All should become clear in the next 24-48 hours you would expect, but losing Wise hot on the heels of losing Gus Poyet would be a major blow to Leeds' promotion hopes.

Wise playing seconf fiddle to Keegan - can't see any point in that & surely won't help his career!

Wise has his eyes on returing Leeds United to topflight football. Why would he want to leave Leeds for a second fiddle role at Newcastle with King Kevin who has never won a thing as manager.

Is this the news you wanted to hear or not?
will it ever happen
Even more strange, Keegan did not know anything about this - so, what are Newcastle up to? Is Wise being groomed as new manager?
