Showunmi rejects Leeds move

Having looked destined to complete his switch to Leeds in time to face Luton tomorrow a change of heart has meant Enoch Showunmi will not be signing.

The Bristol City striker had agreed terms and appeared set to complete his signing on Thursday but he rejected the move in the end as he has decided that he wants to stay with the Championship high flyers and fight for his place in the team.

The Nigerian is out of contract in the summer, so unless fresh terms are agreed, or something else is agreed elsewhere this month he will be free to sign for another club in the summer for nothing and can soon begin pre-contract talks somewhere else.

Bet his agent has got a sniff of more money - you don't agree personal terms etc only to call it off at the 11th hour to stay & fight for a place at the club that is prepared to let him go cos he's out of contract - stinks of money!!!!
