'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Derby Are Smaller Than Leeds

Wise words from Wisey on the official site as he repeats that Paul Jewell can 'do one' and forget signing Jermaine Beckford for the Rams.

Wise said 'There's a lot of people looking at him, but the problem for them is that he loves this football club. He likes working with us and the lads, and he likes the environment. That's important to a player. I've no intentions of selling the kid.'

He also questions why the striker would want to go to Derby of all places when Leeds are a bigger club.

'If you're talking the big four or five then maybe it's different, but I'm not prepared to let him go to a place like Derby - and I'm not prepared to let him go anywhere.'

Chairman Ken Bates has also said the player is going nowhere.

Rams boss Paul Jewell has hit back saying: "I wouldn't say anything about Leeds United other than to say I have got no interest in Jermaine Beckford....He is having a decent season so far but, with all respect to Jermaine Beckford, I am looking for better players than that."

Looking at better players?......well best get your finger out mate coz Derby are awful and one of the Premiers worst ever teams!

Perhaps you'll all meet up next season - looks as if Derby are certainties for the drop....and providing you don't fall at the last hurdle - which has happened to many a club in this league.

It appears Bolton, Fulham and Wigan are all looking at Beckford too. Are they all looking for a Championship striker if they drop or do they want someone they think is Prem quality?
WhiteYork
beckford has fell in love with leeds he sed he wasnt leavin
loyalleeds
I cannot see Beckford leaving unless its a team near the top half of the Premiership. he knowns the jobs only half done this season and I am sure he will want to see us promoted at the end of it.
dazza71

How can any first division club be bigger than a premiership club. Think he's losing the plot Mr Wise, and he will when you lose your derby game on saturday against Donny, not like us who will stuff the pigs!!
will it ever happen
