Leeds Boss Backing for Capello

Leeds United manager Dennis Wise believes that the FA’s upcoming appointment of former Juventus and Real Madrid boss Fabio Capello will be good for the England team.

Having suffered the disaster that is Steve McClaren, England fans can now expect a 61-year old Italian who has won 9 league titles in his 16 seasons as a club manager. The FA are widely expected to confirm the appointment shortly, as Capello’s lawyers continue to negotiate terms on Friday.

Wise, speaking to the official Leeds United website said: “I think it will be a good appointment, good for the game and he will bring different ideas, which I believe is important.”

'Most people seemed to be looking at Jose Mourinho but Capello knows the game very well and is an old head at it. As an Italian he will have different ideas and that will be interesting.'

'Maybe we needed something different and foreigners come in and change the way we do things. They have some good ideas.'
