Leeds V Huddersfield Ticket Debate

This weekends League One fixture between Leeds United and Huddersfield town Is set to be a sell-out affair, however Huddersfield supporters have had just 1,700 tickets to fight over.

The match has already been moved at the advise of West Yorkshire Police, a strange move when you consider they thought it fine to let Millwall’s thug-like knuckle draggers turn up to have a few beers, take in a good match and partake in the odd bit of window smashing all before tea-time!

So, with such a low allocation being announced, how do you react to that news?

Well if your Town, you take the views of your chairman Ken Davy who has had a little bit of a moan first:

'We are very frustrated with the way this has been handled and we will be hugely disappointed for our supporters if the appeal by Leeds United is upheld by the Football League. Elland Road has a capacity of 39,000 and we find it frustrating that they can apparently side-step the rules.”

Then you finally come up with something productive, beaming back the game to your kit-built stadium for the remaining fans to watch the game for a nominal fee. Not the best solution, but it’s better than staying glued to Sky Sports News isn’t it!

If your United, you take the stance of manager Dennis Wise who rather fantastically told Sky Sports:

'Not my problem. Sling them [the away fans] in the corner out of the way,'

So Leeds fans, Huddersfield fans, what do you think of the ticketing fiasco? Have your say now!

Feel sorry for them but the east stand is not fully open. Bet it will be for the World Club Challenge for the Rhinos.

If Huddesrfield regularly took more than 1,700 supporters away from home then they would have a point. They could only manage to take 800 to another Yorkshire game at Doncaster. Just because its Huddersfields cup Final t(for some) they are all coming out the woodwork wanting tickets. As long as the dedicated followers of Huddersfield get the tickets then thats all that should matter and the fair weather fans will just have to miss out!!!!

Tiny T, The ground will not have the East stand upper tier open for any game played at Elland Road this season. They would have to get safety certificates to re open it and I am sure the last time the Rugby World club challenge was played at Elland Road there was only around 30,000 in attendance.

I wish they could make it full capacity again.
