Leeds V Huddersfield Ticket Debate
This weekends League One fixture between Leeds United and Huddersfield town Is set to be a sell-out affair, however Huddersfield supporters have had just 1,700 tickets to fight over.
The match has already been moved at the advise of West Yorkshire Police, a strange move when you consider they thought it fine to let Millwall’s thug-like knuckle draggers turn up to have a few beers, take in a good match and partake in the odd bit of window smashing all before tea-time!
So, with such a low allocation being announced, how do you react to that news?
Well if your Town, you take the views of your chairman Ken Davy who has had a little bit of a moan first:
'We are very frustrated with the way this has been handled and we will be hugely disappointed for our supporters if the appeal by Leeds United is upheld by the Football League. Elland Road has a capacity of 39,000 and we find it frustrating that they can apparently side-step the rules.”
Then you finally come up with something productive, beaming back the game to your kit-built stadium for the remaining fans to watch the game for a nominal fee. Not the best solution, but it’s better than staying glued to Sky Sports News isn’t it!
If your United, you take the stance of manager Dennis Wise who rather fantastically told Sky Sports:
'Not my problem. Sling them [the away fans] in the corner out of the way,'
So Leeds fans, Huddersfield fans, what do you think of the ticketing fiasco? Have your say now!
