United Crash Out Once Again

There’s something about cup competitions this year that Leeds United don't like, especially in a sans-Poyet era as The Whites fall foul of a giant killing.

Lionel Ainsworth was the difference after just 3 minutes, as his goal knocked Leeds United out of the 1st round of the FA Cup at Elland Road.

Following the 0-0 draw, it appears the League One side have learnt nothing, whilst Hereford came with one thing on their mind, winning.

A further blow is that Casper Ankergren was substituted after just 38 minutes through injury, though hopefully it will not turn out to be too serious.

A torrid week of cup action for Leeds United and 'Harry' Bassett, the clubs sudden spate of losses seems to have coincided with his appointment to the clubs coaching staff.

Who cares though, we'll be top of the league come Saturday evening!

Wise was back on the touchline tonight so there can be no excuses regarding Bassett.

Also, theres little denying that poorer results have come since the change in coaching staff. Perhaps Mr Wise was no more than the monkey, with the organ grinder having departed for London?

Gotta find a scapegoat though Dazza ;)

Lots of number two's in command are better than the number 1.....Maybe we are now finding this out...

The mastermind behind your success has gone and results are showing that of late. Congratulations to Hereford on their victory tonight and sounds like they deserved it. Time to concentrate on the league now for you lot and get back where you think you should be! And dont say the Premiership like we do because we dont belong there, not yet anyway. :O
will it ever happen
Actually results are showing that we are just two points off top place, so your point is?
yorkshirepride1
You had not lost since Poyet left and now he has and you have dirty bassett in performances have droped and so have the results. And only two points of top spot, if that was Wednesday we would be a few points clear at the top!! :)
will it ever happen
Not good for you to be out in the 1st round but you are doing superbly in the league and without minus 15 points at the start you would by now have been 13 points clear in November!!! The league is surely twice as important this year as the Championship is where you want to be.

The wheels are wobbling a bit - but they are way off falling off...losing Gus is quite a major hiccup... when pair were at Swindon, I felt he was the brains behind the two and Wisey the motivator. Harry Bassett doesn't fit that bill, bit mouthy and confusioning I find..
