Gannon Joins Leeds United Staff

Former Notts County assistant manager John Gannon has joined Dennis Wise and Dave Bassett at Elland Road in the ‘First Team Coach’ role.

With Bassett signed yesterday, the Leeds United website mentioned that supporters should expect a further addition within the week and it appears that Wise has plumped for the ex-Mansfield, Chester and Sheffield United coach.

Speaking to, Wise said of the appointment of Gannon: 'John knows the game and he is a good coach. He is someone I know well and trust well.'
