Vital Leeds United Competition
I have it on good authority the issues with the Master League won’t cause too much of a problem with regards the Vital Leeds United Competition so here it is, re-launched and ready to rock and roll!
This is your chance to win a brand new 2007/08 Leeds United Home or Away shirt simply by continuing to contribute to leeds.vitalfootball.co.uk!
4 weeks from today (that’ll be the 29th of November), the total master league points table will be saved, and the member that comes out at the very top will be announced as the winner!
A brief explanation of how the Master League works:
The members league points system accredits a users account with a varying amount of points every time a contribution is made to the site in the following three areas:
A Forum Post
An Article Response/Comment
A Poll Vote
Members scores are maximised by an even contribution through these three areas. That is to say a mixed balance of forum posts, article responses and polls will result in a non-penalised score rating.
Contribution that is focused in only one area will suffer a degeneration of points allocated, i.e. points will be accrued more slowly. Therefore, if a member only receives points from posting on forums, the points allocated will slowly devalue over time, so whilst originally one point would be allocated per post, after the user had reached a certain threshold they would only receive a fraction of a point per post.
Article Responses/Comments under a certain length of words or characters will not register any points on the system at all, therefore it is important to always ensure your contribution to the network is sensible and primarily of interest to other football fans.
A few extra rules:
No more errors, it’s all fixed (the problems that is, not the competition!)

What he really needs to be doing his updating everything regularly whilst the carrot is dangled. He obviously wants more members and needs to keep on top of things this month. Needs lots of updates and new polls.
