Leeds United Set for Hereford

Leeds United will travel to the Midlands in the first round of the FA Cup to face Hereford United at their Edgar Street home.

It is the first time in the clubs history that they have featured in the first round of the tournament and it will be the first fixture between the two clubs. It was announced today that the match will be shown live on Sky Sports on Friday 9th November.

Speaking to the official Leeds United website, captain-come-temporary coach Alan Thompson said: “It's a tricky tie, but it's one we're looking forward to. The league is our bread and butter, and that's the aim, but we'll look forward to going to Hereford.”

Be a good cup tie and a tv spot for us too, not sure if i`m too bothered about winning though, league is the top priority

That could be a tricky little cup tie. Herford have a good cup tradition and they are going well in League two at the moment.
