Will Ricketts Kick Start His Career?

Michael Ricketts has been out of favour at Elland Road for some time and was shipped out to Cardiff on loan earlier in the season. But his future is looking more desperate as a Leeds player, as Burnley have given him the chance to kick-start his career.

The Clarets have taken him on loan until the end of the season as they are desperate for goals from somewhere having sold Ade Akinbiyi to Sheffield United for 1.75million last week.

The former England international scored five goals in 17 games for the Welsh outfit before returning to Leeds at the turn of the year, but failed to get back into boss Kevin Blackwell's plans.
