'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Darlington 0-1 Leeds United

Paul Huntington was the difference as Leeds United took their first steps on the road to Wembley in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

A much changed Leeds United side saw full debuts for goal scorer Huntington, as well as reserve goalkeeper David Lucas, though with the likes of Thompson, Clapham, Richardson and De Vries, there was plenty of experience on hand to see off the League Two front-runners.

Huntington rose above the rest just after the re-start to head home his first goal for the club, which was more than enough to do the business this evening, a game that finally saw Filipe Da Costa make an appearance in a Leeds United shirt.
