Vital Leeds: Oakwood Owls Need You!

The Oakwood Owls require a sponsor to help cover the financial aspects of running what is a great service for the young people of Leeds.

Leader Rod Christopher explains:

The lads are really enjoying their experiences at Soccer City Premier league on Fridays, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to get some members of the group to this venue due to financial hardship. At the moment I’m asking selected players to make their own way across Leeds, then once inside the venue we must pay 15 per match. Obviously this adds up to be an awful lot of money for these youngsters and if you consider that many also play and pay at proper youth league sides, it turns out to be very expensive just to be involved in a sport that they clearly love.

The cost for a weekly visit to Soccer City adds up to around 25 and given that we will play another 9 matches there this season, i am asking you football lovers to consider becoming our team sponsors. We also plan to take part there from the off next season, so any potential financial support will be gratefully received. We are currently looking for a bit of weekly support to help get the lads there without problems.

Perhaps we could wear your WORKS NAME or LOGO on the front of our shirts? We could mention your company in our tournament and match reports throughout the season, or perhaps we could even name our home tournaments and matches after your company. How about personally sponsoring me to wear your equipment or logo? Better still, you may have your own ideas on how we could promote you! All this for just 25 per week. We are a Leeds City council youth service provision, which means that we must raise our own funds for such activities. If you think that you can help or know of companies or ways which we can get help, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks,

Rod Christopher and the Oakwood Owls 14-17s.
