15 Points Depart In Style?

A cracking bit of PR from Leeds United and one of their sponsors saw the 15 point penalty leave the Leeds training ground today, in a skip.

The number 15 in the match day program has been replaced by -15: The Football League and the club publish a league table to show what would happen without the penalty that was imposed at the start of the season, now, with Dennis Wise leading his team back to the promised land of 0 points, the big 15 has departed Thorp Arch.

LSS Waste Management, a sponsor of Leeds United this season have promised the players a £250,000 bonus for gaining promotion, and the exploits by the squad so far have given the company, headed by Leeds fan Nigel Woolford an opportunity for some good PR.

The clubs official website Leedsunited.com has photos of the big “15” being placed into the skip.

Bye Bye 15 points penalty, watch out Football League One.
