Injury Headaches for Leeds Boss

Injuries to Thompson and the vast majority of our strikers have given Leeds United boss Dennis Wise food for thought this week.

Thompson was substituted in the 73rd minute and it was later discovered that he has picked up a groin injury, which may rule him out of Saturday`s League One fixture against Hartlepool.

'Alan's done his groin,' Wise told the club official website leedsunited.com
'I shouted on to him and Alan said he was okay, but we brought him off and he said he knew it was the right decision.'

Thompson joins up with team-mates Leon Constantine and Tore-Andre flow on the treatment table, with the striker shortage possibly forcing the club into the loan market for short term cover.
