HMRC Give Up Leeds Fight

It is being reported today that HM Revenue & Customs have opted not continue their appeal against Leeds United.

In a move that will delight Leeds United supporters, and Ken Bates, there is no longer a continuing legal threat to challenge the sale of the club to Mr Bates.

Leeds were placed into administration just before the end of the season with debts of 35 million. The agreement reached with KPMG is that Leeds United creditors will receieve 11p in the 1, with more upon the club returning to top flight football within the next decade.

The end of the saga?
