HMRC Give Up Leeds Fight
It is being reported today that HM Revenue & Customs have opted not continue their appeal against Leeds United.
In a move that will delight Leeds United supporters, and Ken Bates, there is no longer a continuing legal threat to challenge the sale of the club to Mr Bates.
Leeds were placed into administration just before the end of the season with debts of £35 million. The agreement reached with KPMG is that Leeds United creditors will receieve 11p in the £1, with more upon the club returning to top flight football within the next decade.
The end of the saga?
