More Leeds Ticket Madness

Following on from the Police advice regarding the match at the City Ground, next up is Portsmouth`s attempts to stifle Leeds fans with restrictions regarding tickets.

On Tuesday we covered the statement from West Yorkshire Police regarding restrictions that have been put in place to avoid any trouble as the Leeds United faithful travel to the East Midlands this Saturday in the League One 'Clash of the Titans' and now Portsmouth F.C. have looked to make life difficult, even for the average law-abiding Leeds supporter.

Leeds are set to face Harry Redknapp`s Premiership side on Tuesday 28th August (kick off 1945) and it has been announced as an all ticket affair. This is all well and good, however Leeds United have announced that ticket sales are by postal application and even more bizarre that payment is by cheque only.

Whether this be a sign that things still aren`t completely rosy at Leeds United, or some sort of old-age method of supporter security it can only be regarded as another awkward obstacle for a group of supporters who already have to endure a 520mile round trip to the South Coast.

That said, at least the good people at Pompey FC have now dragged themselves one step closer to having a Premier League standard stadium, generously providing away supporters with home comforts of a roof.

Ticket Prices: Adults £25, Senior Citizens £15, Children £5

For a Leeds website, you don't seem terribly well informed ....?? I thought it was well known that following administration, Leeds have had their credit card facilities withdrawn by the CC companies. As a result they can only accept cash or cheques. Hence the hour-long queues at ER on Saturday .....
