Belated pre-season for Leeds pair

Leeds pair Shaun Derry and Gylfi Einarsson will still undergo an intensive "pre-season" - even though the campaign has already begun!

Derry missed the "real" pre-season with a heel injury, while a troublesome calf kept Einarsson on the sidelines. But both are now being put through the same preparations their colleagues were before they are considered for first team action.

Assistant boss Gus Poyet told the club's official site: "They are both starting the pre-season programme now. They've been back a couple of days and they're facing some hard work now."

Rui Marques is also set to resume training after missing the Carling Cup win against Macclesfield due to a knock he sustained during the season's opener at Tranmere.

Mission 105 Points couldn't have started better, and with players returning from injuries things can only get better...hopefully!
