Leeds' Frazer targets quick return
Leeds defender Frazer Richardson hopes to return to action as soon as possible after injuring his hamstring during Saturday's 2-0 loss against Burnley.
The 24-year-old, who has been linked with a move away from Elland Road for much of the summer, was substituted towards the end of the match and was clearly struggling. However, Richardson has admitted that he had problems with his hamstring prior to the match but decided to play anyway.
He told the club's official site: "It shouldn't be too bad. I'm not sure exactly what it is yet, but I had an X-ray on Monday. It actually started a week ago, and I was struggling before the game on Saturday, but thought we'd give it a go."
However, Richardson is confident that, despite the results, the tough pre-season campaign has been great preparation for Leeds ahead of the League One campaign, and highlighted the number of openings and chances the players had created during the games.
Hopefully Richardson will be back in time for the opening game against Tranmere as the defence will need to be on top of their game if Leeds are to succeed in what is one of the most physical leagues in the country.
