Prutton Wants Leeds United Stay

Former Nottingham Forest and Southampton midfielder David Prutton has expressed his wish to stay at Elland Road just as soon as the opportunity arises.

Prutton, who is currently one of five players on trial during the clubs pre-season tour to Germany (now including a quick trip to the Czech Rep.), is a free agent as it stands, and so far he is liking the look of Leeds United and hopes that Dennis Wise will decide to keep him on just as soon as the Football League decide that Leeds are able to start signing players.

Speaking to the clubs official website Prutton said: When the administration stuff gets sorted hopefully things will be sorted for me and the players like me,'

'This is a team with a lot of potential. We need to work on that - the league will be tough - but the management here is good, the players are good, and we need to move in the right direction.

'There's a huge history and a chance to try and re-build.'

Good to see a player that wants to play for Leeds. If he's up for it during the present situation he must be keen. Good Luck to David
WellyG
He's either keen or...has had no other offer?

Don't get too excited boys, I'm a Forest fan and I can tell you that he was useless for us! Was a good player when we had him first time round, but he's not the player he once was - hence Southampton were happy for us to take him on loan. So pleased we didn't offer him a contract, but good luck to you, maybe he'll do better for Leeds. In summary...... lazy, hot headed (did you see the play-offs that he lost us?) and lacking in confidence / self belief..... has average pace (i.e. not quick), okay touch and average skill, scared to run at players or shoot first time, always needs a touch. On the plus side, he's free and should be cheap as nobody else wants him! Shame a once quality player is now this poor when playing at such a low-level. Oh yes, welcome to League One, nice to see Forest and the only "big" club that cocked it up! ;o)

Whoops, typo - meant to say "Forest AREN'T" not "Forest AND" - doh! See you boys soon for the biggest match of the season!
