Healy Belongs In The Premiership?

Following his 1.5 million to Fulham from Leeds United, Northern Ireland international David Healy has declared that he will prove himself in the Premier League. Healy`s top-flight experience to date came in a single substitute appearance for Manchester United during the 99/01 season and he now believes he can make it on the big stage.

Whilst his international record speaks for itself, he is after all Northern Ireland`s top goal scorer of all time; Healy`s league form isn`t as wonderful with an average of 0.25 goals per game.

Talking to the Fulham F.C. website Healy said "I am confident in my ability and I am confident that I will score goals in the Premier League,"

"I could easily have stayed at Leeds or signed for a club in the Championship, but everyone wants to play in the Premier League and I am no different."

It remains to be seen as to whether Healy can actually cut it in the top division.
