Leeds Won't Start The Season?

Administrators believe that if the clubs issues aren't sorted, Leeds United will not start the League One season

During today`s preliminary High Court hearing in Leeds, club administrators KPMG have warned that if the club is not able to leave administration, the Football League may stop them from beginning the fight back to The Championship.

The High Court action has come after HM Revenue & Customs decided to challenge the offer made by a consortium fronted by former chairman Ken Bates, despite an increase in his offer to creditors to 8p in the £1 from just 1p in the £1. The result of the court hearing today was to adjourn until the 3rd of September, by which time Leeds will have been scheduled to play 4 games, including matches against Promotion contenders Nottingham Forest and Luton.

The total Leeds United debt is around the £35million mark with HM Revenue & Customs being one of the largest creditors at a staggering £7.7million, slightly more than 1 Seth Johnson.

I don't think we will. We have been sailing very close to the wind for a feww years now. It needs a large consortium to come in with a vast amount of money.

What to say here....I wish you all the worst. DIRTY DIRTY LEEDS!!!!
Blue is the colour
Yes, they've been known to be a bit of a dirty team, but surely no self respecting football fan wants to see them fold? If it can happen to a team with so much history who not so long ago was getting some great results in Europe it can happen to anybody.
Tantona
Tantona. Agree. At times I have hated Leeds but this is really bad news. Are the Leeds fans getting mobilised or are they just paralysed with despair?
