Heath Wants Leeds United Stay

Leeds United defender Matt Heath has admitted that he wants to stay at the club, and is willing to wait until the transfer embargo is lifted in order to sign on the dotted line.

Heath`s contract ran out at the end of the season and to that date the former Coventry, Stockport and Leicester stopper had made 26 league appearances contributing 3 goals in the process.

The transfer embargo, as set by the Football League is set to end at the start of July, meaning not only will Leeds be able to sign new players, but to re-negotiate with the likes of Heath, Rui Marques and Tore Andre Flo should boss Dennis Wise wish to keep them on.

It's a bit difficult to sort things out, I'm in the same position as I was at the end of the season,' Heath told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

I would love to stay at Leeds and if we could sort it out then that would be great.'

Heath was hopeless in the Championship, but maybe he'll fit into League 1 better? I have my reservations...
