'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Leeds United Manager Speaks

Leeds United manager Dennis Wise has been speaking of his frustration at having his hands currently tied in the summer transfer window. With the CVA results being subject to the Football League`s own investigation, the club are currently unable to enter the transfer market, meaning Wise currently has to sit patiently. Whilst Wise, assistant boss Gus Poyet and "new" owner Ken Bates have started discussions with players, no firm moves in or indeed out of Elland Road can be made until the start of July.
Wise told the official Leeds United website: 'There's no harm in talking to people, but we'll just have to wait,'
He added: 'There's a lot of players we earmarked who've gone, about 10 of them, but we understand the situation so we're not going to harp on about it. We're here to do a job."
The start of pre-season training is just 10 days away now, so any potential new signings will have to learn very quickly and adapt to life at the club. Let`s just hope that when the Ok comes down from the Football League, that the management, backroom and most importantly boardroom staff are ready to rise to the challenge of bringing quality to the club within an ever shortening timescale.
