Thompson Set To Stay At Leeds?

According to Alan Thompson`s agent, the former Celtic player may be willing to take a pay cut in order to stay on with Leeds United. Reports had previously suggested that he was ready to join Championship survivors Hull City but it now appears that for once, a player is going to go where he is happiest, rather than chasing lucrative contracts in higher divisions.

Thommo`s agent spoke to the Yorkshire Evening Post: 'He was very happy at Leeds, and there's a chance he could go back there."

The signing of Thompson would prove a massive boost for Leeds United, as Dennis Wise looks to boost his squad ahead of the League One season as soon as the current transfer embargo is lifted.

It would be very interesting seeing as most fans have seen him as a moneygrabber whilst at the club and wanting to jump ship straight after relegation.
