Carling Cup: Macclesfield V Leeds

Leeds United will make a short journey to East Cheshire to face Macclesfield Town in round 1 of next seasons Carling Cup. It will be the first time that Leeds has visited the Moss Rose stadium and indeed the first time that the club has ever faced Macc.

The game also brings together two friends that have gone from playing football into management. Paul Ince masterminded an escape from relegation out of the Football League and Leeds boss Dennis Wise can`t wait to meet up with him.

"I`m looking forward to it,' said Dennis.

'It's Incey's team, he's an old mate of mine, and it'll be nice to see him again.

He did extremely well towards the end of last season after taking over there, and it's a nice start for us."

The game is scheduled to be played in the week beginning August 13th. Due to copyright restrictions we aren`t allowed to tell you when. We can however tell you that it will be during that week at some point!
