Ken Bates has felt the need to try and blame one of the Queens very own organisations for the failings at Leeds United. Bates, who has seen his bid for the club accepted, believes it is the fault of HM Revenue & Customs for the majority of the problems that have seen the club go into administration.
Talking to BBC Radio Leeds Uncle Ken said: 'Over the last two-and-a-half years Leeds have paid between £15m and £20m to the Revenue, but our cash flow dried up and we asked for a holiday.
The Revenue said no and put forward the petition to wind up the club. I'm sorry small creditors have lost money, but that is totally down to the Revenue.`
You can`t blame HM Revenue & Customs Ken. As much as nobody likes paying their taxes and other Government charges, we have to do it! They were doing their job and it, as club chairman it was your responsibility to ensure that the "cash flow" doesn`t dry up.
