Former Leeds Player Departs Derby!

Former Leeds United midfielder Seth Johnson is unlikely to be plying his trade in the Premiership next season having been released by Playoff Champions Derby County.

Johnson, who joined Derby on a free transfer having been released by Leeds, played 57 games during his second spell with The Rams, scoring 4 goals, that record being somewhat similar to his 4 goals in 54 games for Leeds following his astonishing £7million move from the East Midlands club in 2001.

The former Crewe academy graduate becomes a somewhat expensive free agent for what hasn`t exactly been a glittering career despite his one England cap in 2000. There have been whispers that Johnson may return to Gresty Road, however it is unlikely that the South Cheshire outfit will be able to afford his astronomical wage demands.

Mr God
Surprised me that he was released but since his big money move to leeds his career has been in freefall. Hes not a bad player and wherever he lands hell do a job although I cant see him in the Prem anytime soon!
