Promotion Has Priority

I don't suppose you expect anything else, but Matthew Kilgallon insists the Championship remains the club's number one priority this season despite their FA Cup run.

Kevin Blackwell's side replay against the Latics at Elland Road on Tuesday, with the winners in line for a trip to Manchester City, but Kilgallon's focus remains firmly on the league.

Kilgannon: 'We are on a great run at the moment. It was good to play against a Premiership team because if we are going to be up there next season we need to know if we can compete and we did that and were probably unlucky not to win.

'It was bad defending from us but when you go five games without defeat you can't be too harsh on yourselves.

'If you asked the fans what they would prefer, a good cup run or promotion, I think every one of them would say promotion but we still want to win the game next Tuesday. We have to give it 100% next week because you never know how far we could go.'
