Plymouth/Hull Bosses Slam Leeds

I`ve always liked Ian Holloway, a funny manager with talent to boot, however today he`s moved to slam the club despite the fact that we are in severe financial trouble. It appears that both Holloway and Phil Brown are grumpy that we went into administration towards the end of the season.

Despite the fact that our slip into administration completely confirmed their survival in the English Championship, Hull boss Phil Brown was rather critical, and used bad language to boot. If your kids are reading…hide their eyes!

"I think it`s disgraceful. It`s almost tantamount cheating legally, if there`s such a thing.

"We`ve been working our b******* off since Christmas to survive and to pull the plug in terms of what Leeds have done, I feel cheated. We`ve worked so hard and it`s a surreal position."

Plymouth boss Holloway, who`s promotion push fell apart when the team started playing, well crap, doesn`t seem to understand the rules that when you go into administration you lose 10 points, just like we have.

"I don`t like that at all. In fact, it`s terribly, disgustingly wrong. You don`t go writing out debts - it`s tantamount to cheating. You shouldn`t overspend and you should be docked 10 points next season like poor old Rotherham were."

Perhaps Mr Holloway and Mr Brown should concentrate on their own clubs, and we`ll sort out ours eh?

A lot of people just like to see us do continously bad and would love to see Leeds with a ten points deduction at the start of next season. For once we used a bit of sense and made sure we got it in this season.

It's cheating! You didn't go into administration when you had a chance of escaping relegation before the Ipswich game. Make no mistake, the football world and the fans despise Leeds for what they have done!
Pilly
Oh boohooboohoo. We've done what was required. If you don't like it, go somewhere else to complain!
LUFC1
If KB could find the money now, to set up a new company, where was it before? And what good's a 10 point deduction as a punishment when you're already relegated? Legal it might be, but morally and ethically, it stinks. I bet the League make it that any drop into administration when you're already relegated, is punished the following season...
Rabid Rob
Leads are the last club that should accuse other teams of playing crap this year. Down because they were consistantly poor over 46 games.
Snafubar
Typical shoddy behaviour. Dennis Wise is Orville to Ken Bates' Keith Harris.. a puppet and a comedian who ain't funny. Long may you struggle.
Auckland Owl
Administration whilst the season is still going = -10 points this season. Administration after the last game of the season = start next season on -10. Those Leeds haters should contemplate having a look at the rulebook?
LUFC1
Leeds didn't make the rules of when you can and can't go into administration. If the Football league aren't clever enough then they are there to be abused. Leeds had the option of ten point deduction now or next season. That option was offered to Rotherham last season and they decided to take the penalty this season and stayed up by the skin of their teeth last season.

Whatever happens to Leeds doesn't really matter anymore,as Leeds don't matter anymore.YOU ARE FINISHED.Lets hope for a long slow painful death for a club the whole world HATES!
SweetLeftFoot
Oh yes,LUFC1,You didn't answer my question. Why wasn't you at the game yesterday?Too busy mouthing how big a fan you are on here and not supporting your ****ty team.KNOBHE@D!
SweetLeftFoot
I'm finishing off a university degree at the moment. Sorry I wasn't at the game. Please keep your insults off this board. Thanks.
LUFC1
LUFC1,I shall not be silenced as I know it annoys the arse off you that you can't come back at me with anything!!!!
SweetLeftFoot
Not really, the more you visit this website the more our visitor count goes up (obviously) which makes the site more in advertising revenue. So keep on son!
LUFC1
Is that the best you have got?
SweetLeftFoot
Erm...yes because its true and every time you come back you make me more money. Thanks!
LUFC1
im sure his club would have done the same if they were in our position
Super-Leeds
who wouldnt
Super-Leeds
they stayed up anyway

I can't see what everyone is getting so worked up about. It's just common sense from Leeds' part. Either finish bottom this year and get relegated or finish third from botttom, get relegated and then start next season on -10 points. Would you honestly have me believe that if any one of your clubs had done the same in your position you would have moaned? Leeds have broken no rules, case f***ing closed.

Whoever wrote this clearly has a distorted picture. Ollie has alot less problems than your club and manager. Getting uptight and frankly immature about the issue is useless. As a Plymouth fan that has a soft spot for your club (after reading these comments christ knows why) I was in support of what you did. It was within the guidelines that are currently set out. HOWEVER I think that the rules do need to be changed. Because Im dammed sure your board wouldn't have done this had you had CHampionship status saved for another season, maybe make it so that there is a 5 game to end of season limit on it.
Janner
we should change it so that we have to play 10 games with no shorts or boots on. what a load of rubbish. rules are rules. there isnt a team in the land that wouldnt do the same. get over it and get back to your own forums you numbskulls
canila
Thank you, Canilla, for that mature and responsibe comment on this debate.
Snafubar
no probs snafubar. i like to think that i add a certain chic to the whole debate
canila
Maybe...just maybe, he feels cheated cause he thought you were a real club...little did he know that you are just DIRTY DIRTY LEEDS!!!
Blue is the colour
"Legal it might be, but morally and ethically, it stinks." Just like the West Hamaffair; i mean, who wouldn't moan? But do u think that, if Leeds had been Champions, and the ten point decution meant that they weren't, or maybe even that they slipped from the play-offs in this tight divsion, do you think they would have taken the points then?
Matt_Us
By the way - not everyone hates Leeds. The nation loved them beating Leeds, Barcelona... etc; and they are an historic club. (Colchester 3-2 V Leeds, 1971, anyone?) "Getting uptight and frankly immature about the issue is useless." It looks like they've played the rule book, but they havn't.
Matt_Us
Look forward to kicking their arses fair and square next time we meet then!
