Preston's Pugh Relishes Leeds Match

Preston's Pugh Relishes Leeds Match

Former Leeds United player Danny Pugh has told the official Leeds website that he is looking forward to returning to Elland Road for the first time since his move to Preston North End.

Pugh hopped across the Pennines and up a bit last summer and has firmly established himself in a side that currently finds themselves still in 4th place, just 3 points behind 2nd placed Birmingham. Despite Preston chasing the Premiership dream, Danny did spare a thought for his former club and their current plight at the very foot of the Championship table:

'Leeds are fighting for their lives to stay up and we're fighting the other way,'

'It's surprising the situation Leeds are in. I can't see what it's down to, but I'm not in a position to judge because I'm looking from the outside.

'The players are good enough to get out if it, and it'll be good to catch up with them and meet up on Friday.'
