Leeds United Tickets Reduced Again

Leeds United have confirmed the reduced ticket prices for the forthcoming game against Plymouth Argyle. The club looks set to continue with this policy until the end of this season. Prices will be set as in previous reduced games, and the club urges fans to get in early as these games have sold well.

Around the country clubs are dealing with the ongoing rumblings from fans regarding ticket pricing being set too high, but The Whites have a different problem. Short term the reduced ticket policy brought back the stay away fans, but season ticket holders are getting disgruntled. Paying in advance for a season ticket is costly, and the value of this is being eroded with every reduced game that passes.

It will be interesting to see what Uncle Ken does for next season, in terms of season and regular match prices. Will it be worth paying a year in advance just to risk the club dropping prices out of necessity.

Over at Arsenal the STH's pay a massive amount for their tickets, which include 7 cup games (Champions League or FA Cup). If, we don't manage that amount, the price of the games it taken from the price of the ST the season after. Surely it would make sense to impliment a similar system here. Alienating your die hard fans who are willing to cough up up front just to try and win back a few fairweather fans is not the best idea when you're standing on the edge of an abys!
