Leeds Fall At St.Andrews

Leeds United have suffered yet another setback in the great escape 2007 with a 1-0 defeat to Birmingham City.

A Nicklas Bendtner goal after just 15 minutes was enough to make the difference between the two sides, heading the Blues into the lead from a McSheffrey corner.

Even before then the Leeds goal was threatened with McSheffrey having a free kick cleared off the line. Richard Cresswell had the best effort for Leeds, his effort rebounding off the post but yet again Leeds fell to a narrow defeat.

The result leaves us (obviously) still bottom of the league, level with Southend for all but goal difference. Championship survival is still within our grasp, we just need to make a bit more effort.
