Chairman Dispute Rumbling On
On the pitch things are not great, of course, and off of the pitch we've seen too much attention for my liking on Andrea Radrizzani.
Of course, he's by no means done anything too serious when you compare it to some of our owners but he has attracted some unneeded spotlight after his comments about Wolves and their relationship with Jorge Mendes.
Whether or not he has a point and reason to really have a go remains to be seen, of course, but I, like many of you, think he should have kept things quiet and let it play out professionally, rather than go all guns blazing on social media.
Wolves owner Jeff Shi has bitten back, too, saying that the criticism has been laughable with many fans responding to Phil Hay's post that has the Express and Star interview in it.
Let's take a look at some of the reaction on Twitter.
Wolves chairman Jeff Shi tells @ExpressandStar that criticism of their relationship with Jorge Mendes is 'laughable' and claims Andrea Radrizzani's outburst last week was down to 'pressure' at Leeds:https://t.co/4QWq2xuc1b— Phil Hay (@PhilHayYEP) March 12, 2018
Intense pressure, Wolves chairman would probably buckle under the pressure here too, we`re a demanding fan base.— BigRich (@southeastlower) March 12, 2018
thats why no decent owner wants us, they prefer tinpot clubs with no pressure— Kamil Biały (@Lajt89) March 12, 2018
And he`s spot on.— Tom Huffinley (@TomHuffinley) March 12, 2018
Derby and Villa have both also lodged complaints with the EFL re Wolves too from what I read so Radz is right but he is the only one who came out publicly which may have been his downfall— Carl Murphy (@CarlM1979) March 12, 2018
Aside from this Wolves business which is a distraction. When we have spent over £3M on players thiss season, Saiz and Forshaw, it's worked. That has to be way forward. Mistake going for quantity over quality.— WJ (@jessop_william) March 12, 2018
Burnley is the model Lufc should follow— richard hunt (@fleetwhite) March 12, 2018
Radz not being completely transparent about what he knows and doesn`t know ?— ST (@Yorkshire77) March 12, 2018
And he is spot on. Whether or not what wolves did was shady, it doesn't matter. We can't compete with Millwall never mind Wolves.— John Wakelam (@John1919Wakelam) March 12, 2018
He's not wrong.— Matt Chisem ن (@MattChisem) March 12, 2018
