LUFC Leeds Midfielder Slams Christiansen
Mateusz Klich has slammed former Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen.
The Polish international midfielder had a disastrous first six-months at Elland Road following his arrival in the summer from Dutch side FC Twente on a three-year deal.
The 27-year-old made just 10 appearances for Leeds in the first half of the season, his last coming in the disastrous FA Cup defeat at Newport County in January.
Klich was loaned back out to the Eredivisie in January, joining Fc Utrecht on loan for the remainder of the season, and he has started the last three games for Utrecht, who currently occupy a place in the top six of the Division.
The midfielder has spoken out about Christiansen, the week after the Danish coach was dismissed by Leeds following a poor run of results, just eight months after joining the club.
"Of the matches I have played, I know that I can handle the level of the Championship," Klich told Dutch media outlet De Stentor.
"I did not have a good relationship with the coach, Thomas Christiansen.
"He happened to be fired this week after the defeat against Cardiff. What has happened between us? I do not want to go into details too much.
"It's only frustrating when you know you can handle the level, but do not get a chance to show it."
Klich is due to return to Elland Road in the summer at the end of his loan spell.
