LUFC Sheffield United v Leeds United Team News
New Leeds United head coach Paul Heckingbottom has been boosted by the news that defender Pontus Jansson will be fit for the clash at Sheffield United on Saturday.
The Swedish international was stretchered from the field of play in Leeds defeat to Cardiff City last weekend.
Jansson suffered an ankle injury in a coming together with Cardiff defender Sol Bamba and he looked set for a spell on the sidelines but his return to training this week is a huge boost for Heckingbottom.
Heckingbottom is also boosted by the return of midfield duo Kalvin Phillips and Eunan O`Kane. The pair have now completed their suspensions but Leeds still have a trio of players out through suspension.
Deadline day signing Tyler Roberts could also come into the squad. The forward, who joined from Walsall, missed the Cardiff clash through injury.
Defender Gaetano Berardi is the latest to join those suspended. The Swiss international will serve a two-match suspension for his second sending off this season last weekend.
Liam Cooper and Samu Saiz continue their suspensions. Cooper is serving the third of his four-match suspension whilst Saiz is serving the fourth-match of his second game suspension.
Conor Shaughnessy, Luke Ayling and Caleb Ekuban remain on the sidelines through injury for Leeds.
Sheffield United will be without goalkeeper Simon Moore. The shot-stopper was sent off in their 3-0 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.
Jamal Blackman could replace Moore in goal having recently recovered from injury. Blackman is still short of full fitness and Blades boss could start youngster Jake Eastwood if he feels Blackman is not ready to start.
Ched Evans and David Brooks came through a development squad game in midweek.
Evans could feature but Brooks is still short of full match fitness.
Kieron Freeman and Paul Coutts are out through injury.
