LUFC New Signing Cannot Wait To Get Started

New Leeds United signing Adam Forshaw says he wanted to join the club as soon as he knew they were interested.

The 26-year-old midfielder turned down other clubs including fellow promotion hopefuls Cardiff City to make the switch to Elland Road.

Forshaw, who had made over 100 appearances for Middlesbrough in three-years at the Riverside Stadium, said it was a no brainer to join Leeds despite interest from elsewhere.

"I`m made up, as soon as I knew Leeds were interested I wanted to come here," said Forshaw," Forshaw told the Leeds official website .

"With the size of the club, the history, everything just felt right and I can`t wait to get going.

"I had one or two other opportunities, but as soon as I knew the interest was there from Leeds it was a no brainer and it really excites me.

"This is one of the biggest clubs in the country, the fan base speaks for itself, whenever they go away from home they fill it every time and that can only spur the lads on."

Forshaw has signed a four-and-a-half year deal at Elland Road in a deal worth a reported £4.5m and he will go straight into the squad for the clash against Millwall this weekend.

Fellow new signing Laurens De Bock will also be available to make his debut following his arrival at the club from Belgian side Club Brugge last week.
