LUFC Roofe And Leeds To End Year On A High?

LUFC Roofe And Leeds To End Year On A High?

Birmingham City and Leeds United meet this afternoon in an important SkyBet Championship clash.

Birmingham will be desperate to end 2017 on a high after slipping to the foot of the Championship table in recent weeks.

The blues come into the game without a win in seven games.

Leeds have returned to the play-off places following a run of four straight wins and they know a win today will set them up nicely for a promotion push in 2018.

SkyBet make Leeds 5/4 favourites, Birmingham are 12/5 and it is 21/10 on the draw.

Striker Sam Gallagher will return to the Birmingham squad today following suspension. The on loan Southampton striker is the Birmingham leading goalscorer with just three goals in the Championship and they will be hoping he can find the form that saw him hit 12 goals for Blackburn Rovers last season.

Gallagher is 11/2 to open the scoring this afternoon.

Leeds have shared the goals around this season and Kemar Roofe became the first to hit double figures in all competitions with his tenth goal of the season in the win at Burton Albion on Boxing Day.

Roofe is enjoying his role as the main striker and four of his goals have come in Leeds last four games since moving up front.

The midlands born striker is 5/1 to score the first goal of the game today.
