LUFC Midfielder Happy To Commit His Future To Leeds

LUFC Midfielder Happy To Commit His Future To Leeds

Leeds United midfielder Eunan O`Kane says he will happily extend his time at Elland Road.

The midfielder, who is away on international duty with the Republic of Ireland this weekend, as they look to book their place in next summer`s World Cup finals, is enjoying his second season at Leeds following his arrival from Bournemouth in the summer of 2016.

O`Kane, who had a frustrating first season following an injury in the autumn, has been an almost ever present this season in the Leeds midfield.

The 27-year-old signed a new four-year deal with Leeds in the summer and he admits that he is happy to stay in the city.

"I don`t want to talk about finishing my career yet! I still feel quite young!" O`Kane told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

"But of course I was more than happy to commit my future here and I hope that after the current contract that I have signed I still have a few more years left in me.

"It`s not even anywhere near the time to be talking about it but I love the place, I love the city, my wife is happy here, she enjoys it and we are in the process of buying a house.

"I`m more than prepared to put some roots down here and settle for a while."

O`Kane will hope to feature for the Republic of Ireland today in the first leg of their World Cup play-off in Denmark this evening.

The second leg is in Dublin on Tuesday evening.
